The petroglyphs are on the bank of the Ily River, about 100 km from Almaty.
I don't know how many there are, but I could only find this one. The
picture could represent Buddha or Siva, apparently, but nobody's sure. It was
probably drawn over two thousand years ago by people who travelled to Kazakhstan
along the river.
